Irregular Weak Verbs

The past participles of irregular weak verbs (mixed verbs) combine features of both regular weak verbs and irregular strong verbs. Like weak verbs they add -t at the end and like some irregular verbs they change the stem vowel.

bringen - gebracht - to bring

kennen - gekannt - to recognize

denken - gedacht - to think

wissen - gewusst - to know

There is no way to recognize which verbs change the stem vowel in the past participle. They need to be memorized.
